wow. I've been a clazziquai fan since their second album, and i just got a chance to hear their first album. it's very impressive, espacially Futuristic and I Will Never Cry. I loved most of the songs and there were some I didn't really care for, but it's an excellent first album. ~we are at virtual loving time and i am thinking what a mass~ ^_^ gotta love clazziquai! |

Amazing debut album
|
Clazziquai essentially is keyboardist and DJ Kim Sung-hoon, working with a trio of singers and occasional back-up musicians. Kim skillfully blends a variety of musical styles with unique and catchy arrangements to create pure musical magic. Indeed, Clazziquai is producing some of the hippest music in Asia. While you will find dance, trance, house, and other styles in this mix, the songs that really pop are those which employ Brazilian beats, including singer Christina Chu's convincing Astrud Gilberto imitation on "Novabossa", and the sublime duets of singers Alex Chu and Horan Choi on "You Never Know" and "After Love". Alex and Horan's buttery vocals are sublime throughout the album. By the way, Kim Sung-hoon clearly has studied the music of Japan's Pizzicato Five. The influence of the Pizzicato's CD "Happy End of the World" can be heard on several songs here. If you haven't already heard the inebriating joy of that album, you really out to check it out. This disk runs for over an hour and probably would have benefitted from being trimmed a bit. However, this is a thrilling debut and I am eager to purchase Clazziquai's more recent albums. Very highly recommended! |

awesome!!
| i'm not really into korean music because most of it is hip-hop and r&b with not much else, but i love CLAZZIQUAI's mix of house, trance, jazz, r&b, and everything in between. alex and horan's voices are really smooth and blend well together; my favorite track is "after love" |

Impressive!
|
This album is simply amazing, especially for a first release. All of the songs on this album are so easy to get into and so memorable. My significant other and I simply couldnt stop listening to this album as soon as I received it. Overall, Clazziquai has built an album of tracks with an electro-pop feel and others with a bossanova style. I found this combination particularly interesting, but it lends a definite lounge-esque feel to the album, and mixes things up so that you never tire of the songs. This is one of those albums that you can listen to hundreds of times and never grow tired of it. Besides the music, I was also pretty impressed with the singing itself. Alex has a nice, smooth, voice, and Horan is very good at harmonizing and being very melodious. Christina has some surprisingly good English, and her voice certainly commands attention. If you want something thats very fresh, and very well-executed, I highly recommend this album. Favorites were You Never Know, Come To Me, Sweety, Tattoo, Gentle Rain, Flower, and Play Girl. Also, the final track, Cat Bossa, is a pretty funny song, since its supposed to be sung from the point of view of a pretty pretentious cat. The lyrics book even includes only part of the lyrics then says bLa bLa bLa bLa

Something refreshing.

A wonderful debut album from a wonderfully talented and creative musical trio. I enjoyed ClaZziQuai's two songs off the "Lovely Sam Soon" OST, but this album is nothing short of brilliant. It is definitely a refreshing blend of music, resembling genres of their name: classic, jazz, & groove. Easy listening, lounge music with relaxing, smooth vocals with a hint of acidy, jazzy beats. ** Singsa: Why don't you actually try writing a decent review, pinpointing reasons why you didn't enjoy Clazziquai's album? Tastes differ; listing off a bunch of songs you happen to be more fond of than the ones off "Instant Pig" doesn't exactly explain to new listeners why or why not they should give this album a try. |

First off, I personally adore this cd, so don't get me wrong. Their English is hardly 'perfect', however you define it. It's clearly sung, and understandable most of the time, I would say... They've got a unique style of music going on, and singers' voices are really fitting. This is my first Korean CD I've ever heard, and I really like it! |

awesome do not miss album
| This is definitely an album I HIGHLY suggest. anyone who looks slower, easier going jazzy music should get this. They are a lot like a relatively unknown korean group called slow 6. |

great beat, good rhythm, awesome blend of fusion.
| The songs are very unique in style and easy listening. The singers are from Canada and published in Korea. The english is perfect. Their cd cover design is very trendy. The songs make you submerge into a light breez, shining sun over a glazing grass. The vibe is alive. |
