Not bad. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This song is defintly not one of their best, but I enjoyed this song nevertheless. It is mostly roaring more than screaming, but that's what I like about it, to be frank x.O; the intruments are great; as always.

Well.. Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I got this single when it first came out, and after reading the reviews I decided to write one myself.
And basically.. I can honestly say, they've done worse. JESSICA. Seriously. It's at least ten times worse.
I personally like Clever Sleazoid, but agree it's no where near their best, but it's still a very good song.
As for the lives, I hated them and never listen. I think that Dir en grey is a band that sounds bad live unless you're actually there. Mostly because Kyo will just skip entire lines of songs because he's busy scratching his chest or screaming.

what can I say Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I personally have to say that if you dont like this then that is up to you but at the end of the day if you have followed the band for a long period of time you begin to understand them alot more and so the way they have developed themselves makes perfect sense

as for Kyo's english I think it matches the atmosphere of the song completely and if you have actually heard this song live it does do it alot more justice as Kyo has much clearer english in that

I dont mean to cause commotion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion

I think this is a great song, I pre-ordered it (and just though I would add my opinions now) and I can say I listened to it over 60 times in that one day when it arrived!

I cant wait for more

Ahhh... Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
*Shrugs* Clever Sleazoid isn't a bad song, but I have to admit, it's definately not one of the best. Not only is most of it roaring (and very poorly pronounced roaring at that), but the music just didn't really do it for me. The lives were not that impressive, either. I will give it this, though: the words carry some meaning (when you actually read what is being said) and it's pretty heavy, which I like. Overall, they can do better, but, eh, give it a shot.

Best song ever. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Different of course. I can understand why people hate it and I also understand why this song must be loved.
CLEVER SLEAZOID is just amazing. heavy and fast as always and Kyo's showing what he can do better: send emotions and feelings through his voice.

Dir en grey really changed but so what? They always did that and despite all the bad rates, nobody can deny this song is completely original.

Breathtaking Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've been reading the reviews up there...but have they not mentioned that they are always changing. Trying out new styles?

I agree, at first, I thought low of this, "Sleazoid" album. But finally after getting it, I feel IN LOVE with it. Of course, it is different from the songs that Kyo has wrote and the band members played before. But this is a STYLE that they're trying out. Please understand that.

I loved the CD completely. How Kyo adds this...somewhat angry and emotion and the pain that he gives off at the same time. As I am...pretty musical I would say, his amazing voice remains...well, not the same. But it's getting better and better. Vocally, he IS talented.

And the great thing about this, is that...there IS meaning in the lyrics. MuchMUCH deeper than just the surface, or what it seems to be. I've thought up of how many meaning these lyrics could mean, and it's completely endless. It gives your opinion on how you want to take it through.

I may not say this is their best songs. But you can't blame them for trying out a new style. And they've succeeded in it as well!

This album is recommended for people who wants to listen to a new style of Dir en grey...though they have been changing within each album. Please be open about it. ;)

Clever Sleazoid is alright. Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Sure, it is most definitely not Dir en grey's best with Kyo's best lyrics, nor is it even that good. What I do know is that the song does have it's strong points, and it's a fast crazy song.

If there's one thing I'm disappointed with, it's that it's NOT their heaviest song whatsoever (that title still belongs to Pink Killer, especially at the end). The live routine I'm disappointed in, especially when a non-album single-only track or two could be showcased.

I liked this single overall; though it cannot compare to their earlier work.

I'm not so sure... Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
*shakes head* This single made me slightly mad, for several reasons. 1.) I think that these lyrics are recycled somehow. Kyo can write so much better then this, and we've seen it in songs such as Mazohyst of Decadence and Cage. 2.) I think that the lyrics could have possibly been made so much stronger then it was if Kyo had actually sung...Instead of simply screaming the first syllable. 3.)I think that having such an aggressive single after such an aggressive CD was slightly unfair.
I'm not saying the whole thing was totally awful, because when the guitar became slightly distorted and Kyo sang in Japanese a long with it, I thought the two complimented eachother nicely...And Dead Tree live, I like better then the recording It's simply the fact that I have such high standards for Dir en Grey, that I tend to review slightly harsher then most...I don't think they met those standards...I own it basically because it's Dir en Grey.

What... Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
Ok, the only reason I gave Clever Sleazoid something is because it's Dir en grey, I have to give them some points. But come on, to say that this is good... I mean, you've got to be on something. They don't show half of their skills. The lyrics - while good for some American bands - are crap. If you've been listening to Dir en grey since before Clever Sleazoid, you know Kyo's lyrics are RARELY (if ever) this bad. Really the only good things about this single are the live tracks, and even those aren't that great. I guess I'm saying that because of their performance of Dead Tree, which was disappointing. C and Garbage were decently done. But anyway, seriously, Clever Sleazoid is a big disappointment. I can only hope that their next single(s) and album will be better.
