After a lean and muscular mountain ranger (Sylvester Stallone) fails to rescue his partner’s girlfriend from a tragic death in the Rocky Mountains, his partner holds him responsible for her death. The friendship is then ruined and he leaves the rescue team to wrestle with his own guilt. A year later, he returns to Colorado to reconcile his relationship with his own girlfriend, who is also a rescue ranger. When a small jet crashes in the mountains, he is drawn into one last mission with his girlfriend and his old time pal.
