A great Mega Star Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Beside this DVD, you should also watch her performance with HK Chinese Orchestra (HKCC) at Asia Expo Concert Hall. In that DVD, she performed more opera repertoire with another famous female opera lead - Yee Fei Yan. I also bought 2 sets of DVDs on musical play - A Sentimental Journey and Tin Zi Kiu Zi. I really love her performance esp. in opera. She is so natural and so refined. After being away for so long, she still maintained her beautiful composure.

If you noticed how she moved on her stage performance be it in opera or modern form, she moved so gracefully despite the amount of climbing and walking on the stage platform. She is also a very a natural stage performer, she speak so eloquently better than many professional comperes/MC. It made me admired her even more,though I have been a long time fan of hers since 1960s/1970s. I have watch many of her past movies since I was young. She didn't changed much, still so beautiful and outstanding. She has managed to maintain her physique so well better than many others stars at her age.

Actually, it's more difficult to perform in musical play, if you watch "A Sentimental Journey", you will noticed that she has so many parts to play, countless script to memorise and the amount of opera songs she has to perform. Only a great performer can do it, no wonder it's a sold-out for more than 100+ performance in HK, Macau and Singapore. Kudos to Connie, she definitely deserve to be crown a great mega star with her comeback on so many musical shows.

Encore on Cantonese Opera Performance! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Great concert that I watch over and over again. The visual effects, sparkling costumes, and entire production is superbly world-class! However, the last song where she's dressed in opera costume is when I'm just totally mesmerized. It leaves me breathless! Only 2-3 minute song is just not enough! I find myself begging for more. She is just unbelievably confident and spectacular in it. She's the first pupil of Yam Kim Fai, and the best! Her walking style and grace, her facial expression, and her vocal (which is far better than her vocal in her other modern songs) are totally Yam style. Just like seeing Yam coming back to life while watching Connie Chan!

Connie must do more opera before she loses interest in performing!! And not waste her skills and talent learned from the great master Yam!!

This is my first review at yesasia.com, because I am just so taken by her opera performance, which seems like it was cut short, judging by another opera costume she was wearing right before the last song, but without any singing in that other costume. So I'm begging for more!! Could anyone help?! I'm hopelessly smitten by her too-short opera performance!!

Wonderful & excellent performance by Chan Bo Chu. She has great talent on stage, that's why I flew over from Singapore to watch her for 3 nights. Have been listening & watching her CD / VCD & DVD of this concert. His son, Dexter can sing very well too! But still I miss the opera part, which was not included in the DVD. Her opera performance is very skillful and the roles she portrays is always convincing and well expressed. These are the attributes that endears her to all her loyal fans.

Excellent singing and performance by Chan Bo Chu. This is the reason why she is still so loved by all her fans. It really showed how talented she is in every way. She sings well, dance well and performed well in traditional opera. Too bad the dvd did not included the opera part which everybody said she gave an exceptional performance. I loved it and has been watching it again and again.

Very nice collector's set - Chan Bo Chu is back! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Chan Bo Chu is my idol - I love listening to her sing and watch her movies. I am glad she came up of retirement to do this concert. It gives me a chance to listen to the new ways she is singing and for me to guy the CD and listen to it again. I already own the concert music CD but wanted to see what she looks like - that is why I got the Karoke CD set - Very nice! I heard she did some Cantonese Opera and man would I love to hear her sing- perhaps they will come out with another CD or VCD with her doing Cantonese opera. Overall, a good collection to have if you are a fan of hers
