That is my gathered thoughts of Kim kiduk's works, and I think it gets really personal throughout his creation.
I really liked Spring, summer, fall, winter, Spring again. And, I watched 3 iron, which was still great without much of dialogues. But, they both were conceived from this movie, The Isle, (섬, som).
The mute lady who is obsessed with a runaway murderer, in the setting of the tranquil lake, where she serves and controls the visiting fishermen's days and nights. The sadistic sex and followed obsession creates something dark and hopeless result, killings.
This movie is the prelude of the latter two movies. I talked with my dear Korean friend and we agreed how dark Kim's movies are. It is very very dark.
And, I hope I don't get frightened by his future works. Nonetheless, he is one of the distinctive film makers in the world, no doubt!

But the movie itself is a cheese ball. It is B-list, not quite C though. The production is really poor with "Everlast"( I did not know Everlast makes casual clothings other than gym gears) brand advertisement throughout the movie and there are only 4-5 locations to shoot this movie, which is lame. I feel fooled by the overrated reviews.

But when I listen to her songs, I start to feel that the same awkward melody often bored me, without any link to the music videos or her live on TV.
But I have to say Rain> BoA>Brian in this order from their creative sounds(this is absolutely my personal comparison!) I don't find any catchy song from BoA yet, without any visual backups(MV, Live or TV appearance)
I would like to ask other reviewers if they are happy with her melodies so far or if there is any room for improvement for an easier and more catchy tunes. I only wonder whether it is because she has to attract J-pop market?
I like Girls on Top, Moto, Meri Chri(see her fan live on youtube, she cries!) but not seven colors of tomorrow, Girl from Atlantis kind of bubble gum pop songs.
I want to hear from other fans.

And, I love her heart-breaking sound already. She might be the best Korean rapper but I even like more of her soulful songs. February 23, 2007 quite refreshingI never liked the girl bands but these 15-18yo girls were picked and trained by Park, Jin-Young, Bi(Rain)'s producer, and they are really hard-working kids just like any entertainers from JYP entertainment.
The song is quite catchy and their "making" movies on youtube show they are here to last for a long time. I hope they are liked in and out of Korea and hope to hear more loaded songs that could appeal to broad audience groups.

The Movie itself is not for the young hyper-active or dyslexic kids who need constant visual stimulation. It is rather a poetic development of the very personal story and nature and the resonance of your memories and longing.

I have only heard of him from the good review in other sites. And, this is my first album from his works. And, I loved it!
In fact, I have never played any other Korean Albums more often than this and the melodies are addictive. Very Original, and great arrangement, and such a innate voice that soothes your downtime.

October 16, 2005 A disappointing copycat - Be My Love"Be my love," the most played tune in this fun mini-series this summer in 2005 was, indeed, a copycat of a NYC-based pop group "[scissor sisters] - filthy/gorgeous."
Anyone who has [Scissor Sisters CD] will definitely notice that this OST song copied this American Pop group's intro, which was often used in the scenes which needed some mood-escalating tunes.
You can check out the original songs in Amazon.com and can compare "filthy/gorgeous" with "Be my love."
Unfortunately, other than this song, 'Be my love,' the others are lame just like any other TV soap OSTs. This OST CD will never stand alone without the success of the actual drama.
Although it was formulated of a typical story-an ugly poor girl meets a prince of a dream, there are lots of funny twists in this drama you will enjoy thanks to inventing this ordinary spinster character, Sam-soon(trans. to ' the third-born daugher: just like John Doe)
