It's a race against time in the thrilling suspense film Crash Landing! On a routine flight out of Shanghai, the pilots of China Bluesky 569 discover that the landing gear is malfunctioning, and cannot be engaged. The plane is ordered to return, but solving the problem is not so easy. Supervisor Liu Yuan (You Yong) assembles a team of experts on the ground to dissect the situation, while the crew onboard Flight 569 must deal with the human element. The plane carries a colorful collection of characters, and the longer Flight 569 remains in the air, the more the tension rises. Can these various individuals from all walks of life put aside their differences to fight for their very survival? Crash Landing is a commercial blockbuster that was one of the first films from Mainland China to utilize extensive CGI. Still, despite the usage of modern effects, director Zhang Jianya (Red Snow) makes sure to shine the spotlight on his human heroes, who manage to put aside selfish individual heroics for the common good!
