懷疑和批判依然是我音樂的要本，除了年齡我什麼都沒變。
1986年，還在北京歌舞團擔任小號演奏員的崔健，寫出了Rap節奏的搖滾處女作《不是我不明白》，這也是中國的第一首搖滾歌曲。同年，在北京工人體育館舉行的“讓世界充滿愛”演唱會上，他以爆破式的嗓音唱出《一無所有》，從此那個穿長褂、彈吉他的青年家喻戶曉，成為中國搖滾第一人。
“搖滾就是一種態度，就是敢不敢堅持自己，堅持自己的思想，堅持自己的個性，不妥協，不拿自己作交換”。二十年過去，他一直站在搖滾演出的第一線，作為中國搖滾代言人忙碌在各種國內國際音樂節的舞臺上，並且在中國發起“真唱運動”。然而這個在很多人心中代表了中國搖滾的精神圖騰，在努力超越自己的同時，卻離人們記憶中的符號越來越遠，他說：“懷疑和批判依然是我音樂的要本，除了年齡我什麼都沒變。”
