1998년부터 꾸준히 생활 음악을 토대로 활동해 오고 있는 '한국창작음악연구회'의 다악 시리즈 8번째 앨범이다.
1998년 다악 1집이 출시된 이래 매년 꾸준한 신보로 일반인들의 애호를 받아온 시리즈물로 본 [다악 8집] 앨범은 “사군자(四君子)에 스민 다향(茶香)”이라는 주제로 차 한잔에 스며있는 정겨운 아름다움을 표현한 음반이다.
이미 국악 음반에서는 스테디 셀러로 자리 잡은 시리즈물 답게 이번에도 녹음의 완성도나 또한 작곡가의 면면도 최고의 음반이 될 것이 확실하다.
박일훈/백승우/이상규/김정수 교수들의 작품이 수록되어있고, 자켓 디자인 또한 1집부터 7집까지 담당한 안상수 교수(홍대미대)의 작픔으로 한결 음반의 컬리티를 높이고 있다.
