　16世紀の韓国では、官吏など特権階級の家の下働きをする身分の低い女性に捜査権を与え、密偵や情報収拾、女性被疑者の捜査などに当たらせたという。このドラマは、身分制度と女性という身体的制約に縛られながらも、時には宮廷に仕え難事件を解決したこともあったという女性刑事たち—"茶母"の活躍を描く痛快劇だ。

　山育ちのチェオク（ハ・ジゥオン）は、幼い頃から剣と拳法に秀で、当時の警察庁に当る左捕盗庁捕盗従事官ファンボ・ユン（イ・ソジン）の腹心の部下として働いていた。上司のファンボ・ユンは無口だが有能な捜査官で、同期で一番早く出世した男だが、そのために仲間の嫉妬を買い捜査の過程でも様々な困難に遭う…。

A counterfeiting case troubles the Police Bureau of Hansung, the old capital city of Korea.
