 How about some Summer songs? Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Danny Summer is an absolute legend in his own right. I remember that heart rendering performance of the song - "Empty Chair" (Hung Dung, track 02 of this album) on some TVB show (I forgot the title of the show). I think it was the "J.S.G. Best 10 Awards Presentation". I forgot which year it was. I believe the other songs in this album are just as good, but "Empty Chair" really stood out to me. The songs lyrics makes perfect sense about the son's relationship with his father in the past. The son regretted he didn't love his father as much as he should or didn't show his emotions to his father or "harboured" (sorry, is this the right word to use? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.) anger towards his father. In other words the son and father relationship wasn't close at all in the past. Now that his father has past away, he regrets, laments and cries out loud in grief for this past misgiving of his. This particular song relates to a lot of people, especially when traditionally son and fathers aren't as emotional and close as it is with the relationship of the son with his mother. This case is most relevant to Chinese, Asian and some other nationalities throughout the world, but times have changed as we embrace and cherish more of the people who cares and loves us, especially with our family members, than ever before. Don't you agree? It's God's blessings that keeps families together and cherish each others' existence. By the way, I love the album cover for the CD. There's lovely shades of blue with hints of white, light pink yellowish brown (Summer's light tan), red and black in the photo. Please enjoy, this Summer album. Cheers and God bless. Zai jian!
