Fantastically Different Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I'll get this out of the way...I LOVE Jill. I think Hong Kong music needs more diverse styles outside of piano ballads and Jill delivers. 'Diamond Love' continues the funky, edgy beats from 'Hit Me', while adding greater depth. Track 01 'De Ra Go' is a very heavy, bassy, Lee Jung Hyun-esque song sung completely in Spanish (or another langauge close to it). Track 02 is a light summery-pop song with a great latin inspired arrangement. Very, very catchy. Track 03 is a ballad. Yes, Jill sings a traditional ballad and, get this, it's really good! She displays a very strong voice and nice range. Track 04 returns to a latin-flavoured club/dance track which also allows for some melodious singing. Finishing is Track 05 which is more of an easy-listening song. Nice and mellow and smooth, but sort of forgettable. 'Diamond Love' has a superb balance between slow and fast; ballad and dance. I completely respect the fact that Jill only released 5 stronger tracks rather than watering them down with 5 other forgettable tracks just to get a 'full' album out. Recommend to Jill Fans; fans of dance, club, or electronica; fans of ballads; or anyone looking to support some much needed diversity in Hong Kong music. 9/10.

Well done! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I like this EP, it has a good mix of music and all different in terms of style. It is always good when artists present new material and actually cares to be different. Not many HK singers dare to go that far to be different and I take my hat off to Jill for doing so. Jill goes to prove her critics wrong and there is even a sweet ballad that could be up there with sister Janice's best ballads. Other people have said what needs to be said about the music. Go on, buy it!

lots of love!!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
this is one amazing ep!!

i love how jill always goes the different way in presenting her music

from her last debut..it was more americanized..this time..she takes the spanish/latin music style!

it's a new try..very rare for hk singers to do that..and it's very succcessful..i enjoy all the songs in this album

track 5 - very upbeat..jill sangs the entire song in spanish..although i don't know if the pronounication is correct..but to me..it looks like she put a lot of effort into perfecting the song..it sound great...lots of rhythms (so u could dance/jam into it)..also jill starts challenging her vocals here..there is a lot of high notes that she could reach..and it doesn't sound harsh nor she was running outta breath..a great intro to the album

track 6 - again..on the spanish side..she does sing in cantonese in here..this is still another upbeat song..but not too upbeat..it gives a happy feeling..a bit of the jungle/wild life feeling..kinda reminds me of the lion king song (the one where samba and the boar and the other thing was singing in the jungle..sorry forgot the name!)...jill uses less background vocals in this time (her last album used a lot of background vocals)..so u can really hear her voice..she suits very sweet in here too..a happy and sweet feeling

track 7 - a slow ballet..slower than 'get out'..a bit karaoke feel..so i guess jill will eventually use this song as her 2nd plug..i'm sure it will start attracting other audiences (besides her fans)...again jill w/her great vocals..jill does have a fantastic voice..but she doesn't challenge her voice enough..maybe next time she could play a wide range of her vocals..to show its power

track 8 - back to her fast songs..this one she doesn't sing in spanish anymore..but it's another upbeat track..a bit on the techno/clubbing feel..she doens't sing a lot of english this time too..90% of the lyrics in this song were cantonese..so she's improving on her pronounication and getting the hang of singing in cantonese..and also there's no cheesy english lyrics anymore..so an enjoyable song

track 9 - a bit latin feeling..so a slow-medium paced song..it's a good way to end her album..and again..u can hear jill's vocals really clearly as she doesn't use a lot of background vocals

SO
i'd really enjoy this album..jill showed a lot of improvement from her last debut..less background vocals..more singing in cantonese..no cheesy english lyrics...and she continues to try out different types of music..great work jill!!

can't wait to hear your next album

Very Enjoyable Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Jill improved a lot on this album! I highly recommend it!

Even though there are only 5 songs in this EP, each song was very enjoyable. I would say that they have invested time and quality into each song. I admire that Jill is trying out new genres through each one of her albums.

Track 5, 'De Ra Go', is a very vibrant song that is very cute at the same time. Jill singing in Spanish sounds quite interesting.

Track 6, 'Coco', is happy and carefree song. It certainly is a break from all the tragic and sadness of the recent songs. Again, like De Ra Go, Coco shows the energetic side of Jill very well. The only question I have is why is the song called Coco?

Track 7, 'Rather You Not Know', is my personal favourite from this EP. It shows that Jill can handle ballads nicely as well. It has a tune that is easy to listen to and remember. Some may consider it a 'K song', but it's not bad that she sings one once in a while. Track 7 is overall very likeable.

Track 8, 'Forget Anytime', is quite a fast song, regarding the speed that the lyrics are delivered in, but I'm really glad that Jill is challenging herself again with her genres once again. It likely isn't one of the songs that people would choose as a favourite, but I think it's not bad.

Track 9, 'Out of Expectation', is very unique with the Latin-like background music. It doesn't sound very 'K' either. I don't quite like the opening of the song; it just doesn't sound like it flows with the rest of the song.

Overall, Jill contributed some great vocals to this album. Each song was sang beautifully, and I heard from the radio that her allergies were actually getting to her during the recordings. I am glad that she was still able to give her best performance in these songs. I loved her improvements, and I hope she keeps up her good work. This is definitely a 100% EP. I am anticipating on her next all-new album already! I really hope that she will bring us more choices in music. Go, Jill!

Diamond Love Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Track 1: in a different language...spanish??? no idea. um, it's actually ok...very energetic singing.. good vibes.
Track 2: not bad...use of lots of different instruments.
Track 3: ballad........it's decent.
Track 4: back to a fast tempo song... didn't really like this song.
Track 5: another decent song slowish song.
Jill has improved a lot in this album.....I'm surprised. The music/arrangement is good, singing is good. Fortunately there is no stupid cheesey talking in this album, unlike the last album. 6/10.
