楚懷王聽信賢臣屈原(鄭少秋)建議，聯齊抗秦。秦國為離間齊、楚，特遣丞相張儀(石修)向楚懷王割地求和，楚懷王信以為真，與齊絕交。屈原力勸無效，被楚懷王逐出京城。
秦國不肯割地，楚懷王攻秦大敗被擄。楚頃襄王繼位，秦王詐作將公主許配給楚頃襄王，屈原長跪城外力諫不果。秦軍終攻入楚京郢都，屈原目睹國破家亡，唯有投河自盡，一死以謝萬民。
註：由於母帶已製作經年，故在製作VCD的過程中，必須進行調色、重新配樂及剪輯等後期工作。但所有後期工作均在有必要的情況下進行，並以不影響劇情為原則。

dismayed
| This is a very difficult series to understand/follow. The whole movie is spoken in ancient poetry. Although Liza Wang is listed as one of the main characters, she only appeared in the movie for less than 10 minutes. Hardly worth the time and money. |
