Mixed-up identities and situation comedy rule in Double Fattiness, a delightful eighties Hong Kong comedy starring the beautiful Maggie Cheung! A neighborhood pizzeria owned by an average family (Tung Biu and Lydia Shum play the parents, and Eric Tsang is their son) is under assault by land developers looking to buy up their property. Evil real estate agent Paul Chun is on the case, and the family holds out admirably until Mom dies of a heart attack. But a loophole in the afterlife allows Mom to return - in the body of recently-deceased Maggie Cheung, who just so happens to be the real estate agent's cousin! Unable to tell her family who she really is, Mom must get them to keep fighting the developers - which is harder than it sounds when both the real estate agent and her own son are trying to come on to her! Things get worse when a woman resembling the late mother - and also played by Lydia Shum - shows up to trick Dad into thinking she's his departed wife's spirit!
