　　二十二集電視連續劇。

　　上海姑娘麗鵑嫁給了一個大學畢業後留在上海工作的東北小夥子亞平。亞平在丈母娘家的幫助下，在上海買了房子成了家。

　　亞平在父母來上海前是個上海標準的普通的丈夫，對老婆噓寒問暖，端茶倒水，小夫妻親密無間，恩愛無比。但婆婆到來後，溫馨的小家生活開始發生質變。母親認為兒子是自己的，理就該聽自己，而媳婦是外來的；妻子認為丈夫是自己最親密的人，希望得到關愛。婆媳雙方從一開始就出現矛盾。
婆婆傳統思想嚴重，希望以自己的生活方式去影響改造上海媳婦，這些思想與麗鵑現代的生活方式完全衝突，婆媳之間的矛盾與日俱增，摩擦不斷升級。

　　在亞平的父親因病住院後，婆媳之間因為利益之爭而徹底決裂，倆人變得水火不融。即使在麗鵑為亞平生下兒子之後，婆媳關係仍然沒有得一緩解。小傢夥的一句“媽媽壞”將家庭推到懸崖邊緣。
