Unsure Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I am going to do like Glenda and rate this a 5-of-10 because I haven't heard it yet and want to be in the middle (I wish there was a "no opinion" or "unknown" option instead of only 1-10 star rankings!). Anyway, I am the biggest Vicki fan ever. I have played Piao so often that I'm surprised I haven't worn it out! I can even sing along with her now and I don't speak a word of Chinese. But, after the initial total delight and pleasure and utter excitement of seeing she's releasing a new CD came the slight let-down of the reviews here. Rap? Vicki? I am unsure about this now. WHY, oh, why are so many fabulous and well-established Chinese singers tossing in rap on their CDs now? In my opinion it ruins them. I guess it's the new "thing", but I hate it. Even little soft raps annoy me. They are NOT necessary. Rebecca Hsu ruined her brilliant debut CD with some hip-hop/rap on an otherwise perfect CD and other artists are too. WHY? Rap is not cool. Unless you are a rap artist. But why do people like Vicki and Rebecca who are certainly QUITE far from being rap singers attempting it? It's dissapointing. So, now that my elation over this release has worn off, I will keep reading the reviews here before I buy. I am SOOOOO sad that this release seems to be different than Piao. I adored that CD and was fervently hoping for more of the same. I wish Chinese artists were more consistant...too many keep trying new things. I know some people think that shows diversity, but I think it only shows they are trying to please too many people and losing their sense of style trying to keep up with fads. Just be yourself! If you are a ballad singer...sing ballads. If you are a pop singer...sing pop. If you are a hip-hop/rap/dance singer...sing those. But mixing them all up means that buyers often will only like a few songs on the CD because they are TOO diverse. Plus, most buyers (like me), want to know what they will be getting before they buy. It's nice when an artist maintains a stable style (like Melody Chiang, Jasmine Leong, etc.) so you know at least a little of what you'll be getting. Anyway, I will reserve final judgement until I hear this or read more reviews. I am just so miserable now that I have heard this has rap. I simply cannot picture Vicki rapping...even if it is softly spoken words. Oh well, all this is only my opinion and I am frustrated so take what I say with a grain of sand.

So far so good Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Piao is a very good cd, with that in mind, I couldn't expect her latest album would be anything less than its par. So far, I've heard 2 songs from the internet. Not so crystal clear, but its just good enough to confirm my belief. Personally I like the song from her latest tv series. A brand new Zhao Wei (aka Vicki). She is not only a great actress (my favorite of hers - "Green Tea", though I haven't seen her award winning performance in "A Time To Love" yet...), but also on the way to becoming a very good singer. Last but not least, a big CONGRATULATIONS to Miss Zhao Wei for winning the Best Actress Award in this year Shanghai Int'l Film Festival.

Finally! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
After buying and listening to her last album, Piao, I've been looking forward to this day for ages... for the day that she releases this album!!! I have also heard 'Wo He Shang Guang Yan', it's a very nice change and a bold step to do a soft rap but Vicki's voice is just amazing! I'll be running to the store on July 22 to get this album!

Zhao Wei's 'Double' Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
It is totally unfair to rate this album a '1' based on just hearing ONLY one rap song, as in the case of 'Anonymous'! ZW is rapping softly in Mandarin about love and friendship, not your usual angst-filled hip hop English rap! Based on her previous excellent and many award-winning 'Piao' and her wonderful production team, 'Double' should not be too far off the mark! Have an open mind, people!
