Retired Master Chef Chu lives in a large house in Taipei with his three unmarried daughters and each carries their own passions and secrets in life. Life in the house revolves around the ritual of an elaborate dinner each Sunday, and the love lives of all the family members.
In this deliciously heart-warming comedy, Director Ang Lee once again cooks up a feast of surprises and emotional twists, as traditional family ties come unraveled and marvelously knitted together again.

this film is one i have wacthed and never forgot. from the same wonderful director of Crouching Tiger, An Li has it all. this film is about a cook who's wife had died. he has 3 daughters, 2 adults and one younger (18 or 20). this plot brings you to the lives of this family and the ending is unpredictable too! i love the breath taking cooking scenes, it is so artistic!!!! you really have to pay attention to what they are saying and it has a universal methaporic connection. i love this film!!! |
