Jazz

The tracks in this album are all remixes from L'Arc~en~Ciel albums. DO NOT get it if you are a first time listener to L'Arc~en~Ciel unless you are a real jazz lover. This album shows the imaginative side of the band. They are truly wonderful musicians with creativity. The titles from this album are interesting, e.g. Swell in The Sun, a [system in chaos mix] and Fate [everyone knows but God mix]. The sound in Swell in The Sun is heavy metal with a primitive feel and it sort of reminding me of Dir en Drey's with its soft human cry in the background. I only give a 3 stars rating to this track and to the remixes of Fate, ~Lose Control~ and L'heure because they are kind of monotonous. My favorite in this CD is Track 9, 'Real Imagination'[out of the reality mix#2], (original track from The Best of L'arc~en~Ciel c/w album). Hyde's vocals in this track is really jazzy and sexy, showing that he is an absolutely fantastic jazz singer. The synthesizer sound is well mixed in this track. Go for it if you like heavy jazz, otherwise you won't be able to tolerate it. :) My other favorite track is the remix of Metropolis [android goes to be a deep sleep mix], (original track from 'L'Arc~en~Ciel's Ark album). This track gives me a feeling of a big urban area. It's not perfect, my rating is 9.5/10 for this one. My 4 stars rating tracks are the remix of my favorite track (burial of flowers) from their Ray album and Cradle[down to the moon mix]. |

| album remixed by yukihiro...even if you like rap, you can still freestyle to the beats laid down by yukihiro...as with any remix album, i recommend listening to the original song b-4 the remix...any rap freestylers should check out tracks 7-10...the kasoh remix is tight as well, dont forget about fate remix also. |
