A father and son living two decades apart team up to solve crime in TVB's 2004 police drama To Get Unstuck in Time. Jumping between the past and the present, the drama revolves around a cop who is able to call his late father in 1984 thanks to a strange time warp, but disaster ensues when they attempt to change the past. Top actor Roger Kwok and popular veteran Hui Siu Hung star as the father-son duo, while Flora Chan covers two vastly different character arches as Kwok's romantic interest. Delivering the goods as an exciting crime suspense series, To Get Unstuck in Time also strikes chords with its depiction of Kwok and Hui's father and son relationship, and the devastating consequences of tinkering with fate.

Short-tempered cop Kwong (Roger Kwok), or Morning Sir as everyone calls him, is very serious about his work and taking care of his mother (Kiki Sheung). Kwong's policeman father (Hui Siu Hung) died of a drug overdose two decades ago, and he's never gotten over the shock and shame of the incident. One day he picks up an old mobile phone that somehow connects him to his father Hor in 1984. Not knowing that he's talking to his son, Hor assists Kwong with his cases by investigating in the past and leaving him clues for the future. Kwong also gets help from San (Flora Chan), a detective novel writer who is confined to wheelchair. Though Kwong and San fall in love, she feels that her disability burdens the relationship, and wants to break things off. Desperate to hold on to San, Kwong asks Hor to prevent the accident that crippled her as a child. The next day when Kwong wakes up, the world has completely changed - he and San are now on opposite sides of the law.
