Looking for a new creative direction after three decades in filmmaking, Hong Kong auteur Johnnie To has come up with his latest cinematic tour de force. Life Without Principle is a timely and biting satire of greed in a turbulent world where everyone involved is more or less playing a losing game. Three years in the making, the crime drama is sophisticatedly scripted and with the stylistic touches that will delight fans of Milkyway Image. It was screened in competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival to wide acclaim. Back on home soil, the film stood out at the 18th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, winning Best Screenplay in addition to Best Actor for Lau Ching Wan, who leads the superb cast including another To regular Richie Jen and pop singer Denise Ho. The ensemble also features numerous familiar faces like Myolie Wu, Philip Keung, Lo Hoi Pang, So Hang Suen, Tam Bing Man, JJ Jia, Felix Wong, and Eddie Cheung.

The story of Life Without Principle unfolds with three interconnected plotlines involving people from different walks of life. Forced to sell high-risk investment products to her clients, bank teller Teresa (Denise Ho) is tempted to steal a big bag of cash that belonged to her wealthy client Yuen (Lo Hoi Pang). Meanwhile, small-time gangster Panther (Lau Ching Wan) attempts to rob loan shark Yuen in a bid to help his debt-ridden cousin Dragon (Philip Keung), who suffered huge loss on black market futures when the financial crisis hit. Investigating the case is upright police inspector Cheung (Richie Jen), who also has a heavy financial burden on his shoulder as his wife Connie (Myolie Wu) is eager to buy a luxurious apartment they can't quite afford.

So Ji Sub (Rough Cut) plays the role he does best, the tortured hero who is tough yet sensitive, in the highly anticipated melodrama Always. The popular actor impresses with his formidable physique and fighting scenes as a boxer, but the film's strongest moments lie in his pairing with Han Hyo Ju, who returns to the silver screen after vaulting to fame through the television dramas Dong Yi and Brilliant Legacy. Known more for introspective indies like Magicians and Flower Island, director Song Il Gon ventures into commercial cinema with Always, adding his own distinct touch and details into the heartrending love story.

Having closed himself away from the world, former boxer Chul Min (So Ji Sub) starts a new job as a parking lot attendant. One night, a visually impaired young woman, Jung Hwa (Han Hyo Ju), walks into his tollbooth to watch television with him. • Magic To Win (2011) (DVD) (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region All Louis Koo (Actor) | Wu Chun (Fahrenheit) (Actor) | Wu Jing (Actor) | Wu Qian Yu (Actor)
Renowned Hong Kong filmmaker Raymond Wong's 80s classic series The Happy Ghost is reincarnated for today's family and young audiences! With Ip Man's director Wilson Yip and writer Edmond Wong onboard, the fantasy comedy employs flashy visual effects and replaces the original's friendly spirit from the Qing dynasty with feuding wizards who can give Harry Potter's wand-waving friends a run for their money. Magic to Win stars popular actor Louis Koo (Overheard 2), Fahrenheit's Wu Chun (My Kingdom), action star Wu Jing (SPL), Japan-based magician Tonny Jan, Mainland actress Yan Ni (Mural) in addition to Raymond Wong himself. The film also brings back series alumni Loletta Lee and Yip Sai Wing for a cameo, while introducing a new generation of "Happy Girls" led by teen model Karena Ng in her acting debut.

Nobody knows that Professor Hong Sum Kwai (Raymond Wong) is actually the Water Magician, one of the five elemental wizards. One day, Hong accidentally loses his magical powers, which are transferred to his student Cheng Meisi (Karena Ng). The girl happily uses the superhuman abilities she acquired by luck in life, at school, and on the volleyball court, but those powers also land her in trouble as a war of wizardry rages around her... Fire Magician Bi Yewu (Wu Jing) is desperate to turn back time to change a tragedy in the past, but to do so he needs to bring together the powers of all five elemental wizards. Wood Magician Gu Xinyue (Louis Koo) foresees catastrophe if time is warped, so he alerts the other wizards - including Earth Magician Ling Feng (Wu Chun) and Metal Magician Charlie (Tonny Jan) - to join forces and prevent it from happening...
