October 12, 2005 Another Masterpiece by Wong Kar-WaiI have seen Happy Together a number of times and every time i watch it, i found something better. To understand the use of colors and feel the sadness of the movie, one viewing is not enough. This is a film about staying in love and fighting against all odds all by yourself. Even though the characters want to be a real couple desperately, they actually know that they're all alone and that their dreams of being happy will not come true.
Happy Together is one of the most fashionable and visually impressive in history. Those amazing night scenes, beautiful directing of photography and marvellous use of the music makes Happy Together an experience which is really impossible to forget.
Tony Leung and Leslie Cheung also deserve to be written about. They are the top two actors of asia, they give their finest performances to date in this film. Brilliant.
