Everlasting Love (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region All

The nowadays mega star Andy Lau was just another 22 years-old handsome actor in 1984 when he made Everlasting Love, a touching film directed by Michael Mak Dong Kit. Despite his young age, Andy Lau already demonstrated great potential in the film. Gorgeous actress Irene Wan, as young as 17 years-old back then, portrays a courtesan who gets pregnant and abandoned by her boyfriend. Andy Lau is a young man from a rich family, deeply in love with this poor girl despite the gap between their social statuses. People still talk about the remarkable bed scenes between Andy Lau and Irene Wan years after the release of the film. Supporting cast features Loletta Lee Lai Chun who later became a sexy star, and Richard Ng Man Tat, Stephen Chow's long-time collaborator.

Wilfred Man, the scriptwriter of Everlasting Love, later re-wrote the story in 2002 in view of the film's popularity. The re-make, titled Loving Him, stars Hong Kong signer Daniel Chan and award-winning Mainland Chinese actress Amanda Qin.
