　　紅拂（舒淇飾）是隋朝大司空楊素的家伎，她不但貌美聰慧，更有一身過人武藝。這使她突出於楊素家中所有的從仆之上。自幼跟獨孤城長大，她所有的少女情懷都寄託在獨孤城身上。然而奪去她童貞的卻是楊素。李靖（霍建華飾）出盡風頭。他不但破了楊素親自設計的陣法，還贏得了紅拂的青睞，楊素決定要殺李靖，並故意指派紅拂去執行這個任務。紅拂夜訪李靖，勸他逃亡。楊素又派了抱琴與綠羽追殺李靖。熱血與冷血，多情與無情，癡情人墜血江湖。李世民遭到太子李建成以及李元吉的追殺逃到少林寺，幸得相救，並得到江湖英雄誼傑和李靖協助為自己打下天。他協助李世民四處征戰，成就了一代霸業。
