Like the force of a falling comet, F.T Island's debut release Cheerful Sensibility packed in a lot of energy. Their symphonious vocals meshed in perfect harmony with catchy mainstream tunes helped to stamp their name on the nation's top band list in 2007. These five teenagers certainly deserve to enjoy a long rest especially since accomplishing a string of chart-grabbing smashes like Sarangaari ("Love Sickness") and Chundoong ("Thunder") within just a few months' period. Nonetheless, time is of essence when it comes to pleasing their fans, as they make a quick return to present a special album entitled The Refreshment.
Their latest release comes in two discs containing an assortment of old and new tracks, plus an interactive music program for fans to explore their own musical creativity. Disc 1 features 3 new songs and rearranged songs from their previous album. Disc 2 is in Music 2.0, which allows the fans to freely mix the sounds in whichever style they desire. Such interaction is possible due to a special audio source format in which vocals along with other instrumental sounds such as piano, guitar, and drums are individually stored. In addition to the discs, The Refreshment comes with a 60-page photo book where the five boys are seen relishing the typical lifestyle of teenagers. Also included in the photo book are printed autographs from each member of the group.

2007년 6월 혜성처럼 등장해 가요계에 보물로 자리 잡고 있는 FTIsland(에프티아일랜드)가 발매 6개월 여 만에 신곡을 담은 스페셜 앨범을 발매한다. “The Refreshment”라는 제목의 스페셜 앨범에는 다섯 보물들의 여정이라는 컨셉으로 그 동안 무대에서 보여주지 못한 발랄하고 귀여운 멤버들의 모습이 60여장의 화보집으로 담겨 있다. 데뷔 후 정신 없이 달려온 FTIsland(에프티아일랜드)가 오랜만에 평범한 10대의 모습으로 되돌아가 짧지만 달콤한 그들만의 휴식을 싸인과 함께 화보집에 고스란히 담았다. 또 각 멤버 별 단독컷이 담긴 엽서도 함께 수록돼 있어 앨범의 소장가치를 더욱 높였다.
이번 스페셜 앨범에는 2장의 CD로 구성되어 있으며, CD1 은 신곡 3곡이 추가된 Treasure Chapter와 대중들의 감성코드를 자극하는 곡들로 꾸며진 이 Emotional Chapter, CD2는 1집의 상쾌한 락 넘버들이 주를 이루는 Island Chapter외에 1집 인기곡외 신곡과 함께‘뮤직2.0’으로 제작된 스페셜 CD로 구성되어 있다. 애절한 가사와 멜로디가 호소력 있는 이홍기의 목소리와 잘 어울어진 히트작곡가 류재현의 ‘너 올 때까지’를 비롯해 밴드적 편곡이 FTIsland(에프티아일랜드)와 잘 어울리는 작곡가 김도훈의 ‘사랑이야’, 화려한 오케스트라와 밴드 사운드가 잘 어울어진 감성적인 멜로디의 ‘눈물이 더 가까운 사람’등 신곡 3곡을 포함 총 16곡의 노래가 스페셜 앨범에 수록되어 있다. 또한 보컬을 비롯한 피아노, 기타, 드럼 등의 악기 연주를 분리한 음원 포맷으로 소비자가 직접 음악을 믹싱해 자신만의 스타일로 감상할 수 있는 뮤직 2.0까지 포함되어 눈길을 끌고 있다.

its amazing this package has two cd's and it comes with a small photobook and then some postcards with more pictures on it you wont regret it at alll i can listen to these cd's nonstop and u will b satisfied with the pictures ;D |

I usually only buy new stuff, and dont listen to things that are older than 2 years. But this one is FRESH! It comes on a big cardboard box. The photobook on top, then the photocards (<-- which I love, btw), and finally the CD. I havent listened to the second CD yet, but I've put in it my computer. It comes with some kind of program, which is for the mixing I guess. I'll subtrackt two points from this product, however. All due to the photobook which was poorly made. All the pictures are amazing, and I would love to just open the book widely and kiss the boys. however, that is not possible, cuz then I'd rip the book apart. Know those old books where the pages are just kinda glued together on the inner edges? Well, that is how this photobook was made. Which of course, pisses me off. But all in all, I am satisfied with this product, and dont feel like I've wasted a single penny. I love koreans for their creative ways of designing CD covers and stuff. Plus, they're cheap, so I won't complain^^ |

| although i bought this wayy back in december, i still cannot stop listening to the songs on it! i bought the cheerful sensibility album before this, and i dont regret not getting that either! but, about this album: it's simply just amazing!this repackage album includes a cd with three new songs along with some cheerful sensibility songs on the second cd with a new 2.0 music program that helps ppl to mix and match instrument sounds of each song, and i really enjoyed listening to the different parts of each song. it really helped me realize how much talent ft island has besides their drool-worthy looks :). each of their songs are so deep and they "take you to another world", with the soaring guitar riffs and the grand orchestras, along with lee hongki's mesmerizing vocals. the postcards that were included in the cute packaged box were just the cherry on top because i didn't expect nearly as much eye candy.. ^^ the pictures in th photobooklet feature ft island in their oh-so-adorable cute image and a picture of each member autographed by them! overall, i really recommend this unique album, because it's worth the money, and you wont regret it when you listen to the songs! you'll probably never find an album quite like this one, and ft fan or not, i guarantee you'll be happy:D |

| I ordered this album back in December. Though its a special album with only 3 new tracks, it was definately worth the money. The 3 new tracks are great and all the pictures included in the thick booklet, plus the 10 postcards are more than what I expected to get. Not to mention they each autographed a picture. As well, there's the Music 2.0 program which allows you to play around with the sound of the songs. So even though I already bought Cheerful Sensibility back in August, I still bought this special album. And without a doubt, I will continue to support them and buy their upcoming albums and some other things they'll release in the future. They should think about producing merchandises of each member seperately, and sell them. Like bags, stickers, etc., because I would love to have some merchandise of Lee Hong Ki :D |
