世界最強の原子力空母"ミニッツ"はハワイ沖を順調に航行していたが、突然、大嵐に巻き込まれてしまう。やがて嵐が去り、天気が回復したところへ飛来する、見慣れない飛行機。機体の側面に日の丸が記されたその飛行機は、なんと"零戦"だった。"ミニッツ"は先の大嵐によって、1941年の12月6日にタイムスリップしてしまったのである。時はあたかも、日本軍による真珠湾攻撃の直前とあって、乗員たちは驚愕する。やがて"ミニッツ"のメンバーは、あの悲惨な太平洋戦争の幕開けとなった真珠湾攻撃を阻止するべく、零戦に戦いを挑んでいくのだが…。
