why oh why get this fairyland single. the song is not her best and her singing is not her best. she probably thinks it is her best. it is not her best. she can do better than this. after listen to a few times it got annoying and frustrating. just throw it in the corner of the room to let it go collecting dust now. and these things are not cheap. the price for a single is too much. not worth it. this one is regret to get.

Ok, the last review was just BAD. This song is happy and really really good. The composition is very impressive. But it does sound a bit like some of her previous up-beat songs like "July 1st" The second track, "alterna" also has unique and impressive composition/music. It can get a bit annoying, but it's great.

song is mediocre. fairyland music is not too good. her singing is usual and ordinary. in beginning they use like electric machine to change her voice this not sound good. she sing this song on program and look too stiff like doll. she must get loosen. the music is not too good. and voice not too good.

it's alright. the song fairyland seems ordinary. it does not stand out that much. don't get me wrong peeps. everyone is entitled to their opinions. i have watched hamasaki ayumi perform when she first appeared on the japanese music scene ok. and she has been an exceptional singer. but lately she has been churning out stuff that's not all that original. some stuff is actually disappointing. hope she comes out with better stuff.

Ayu still got it Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

Fairyland is an very happy and uptempo song and Alterna is very rockish but an amazing song. None of the remixes are any good sadly. The music video for both songs are great and love how she wears so cool clothes all the time. There is also an DVD version wich is great buy. Once again Ayu has made another great collection of songs.

I know that some ayumi fans might be upset, but personally to me, this single has no originality whatsoever. The pv of 'alterna', although, is a great song, but the pv reminded me an awful lot of madonna for some reason...I remember watching an old pv of mandonna's and it was strikingly similar to the pv of 'alterna'. In this single, I still prefer 'fairyland', because it is a really catchy song with good beats, and the pv is just wonderful, I feel they have really chosen the right location to shoot that pv...but again, I don't see any originality in it either, because it reminded me of britney spears back in 2001.
Overall, nice single, but to me, there is no originality at all

This single should've been titled "Alterna" Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Yes, "fairyland" is an enjoyable song to lissen to I think "Alterna" is the better song. It's an amazing rock-like song with powerful lyrics. The pv isn't to be either!

I bought this single when it came out in August, and I must say that I really enjoy it. Fairyland is a nice song with a summer feeling, while alterna is a very cool rock song. This single also comes with remixes of STEP you and fairyland, which is a bonus! I would recommend getting the CD+DVD version, because unfortunately I didn't and regret it, and the music videos are absolutely amazing. All fans of Ayumi or JPOP fans in general would enjoy this cd.

What can i say more bout Ayumi?well.....other then GREAT!
its got to be one of her best PV: Fairyland..
Well,i enjoyed & love dis video and song veri veri muc...its gotta be the best (in my opinion)video ever. Would like to comment on all her PV's..she's definitely good in makin PV's! all of Ayu's PVS are really good and original..most of all...she looks good in all of them too.. Alterna is a good song too..jus the same rockish Ayu...can't wait for her new album though...hopefully its a cd + dvd package jus like d las album.
well, for those who have not buy dis cd single...its time for u to get up and get out n get it cause its reali nice and worth ur money...

Ayu's done it again Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Just as she did before with her release of her Album, Inspire, she's released yet again two incredibly addicting songs which first kiss you with the vocals, then knock you out with pounding instrumentals. she's definately (metaphorically) a person who turns everything she touches into gold. her style has definately matured, but with fairyland, it shows that she's looking ahead without forgetting her roots. if her next album consists of songs like these, than it's a good possibility that Ayu's talents are going to reach farther and farther internationally while all at the same time, keeping her most loyal fans close to her heart.
