A Must Have... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
A great collection of soundtracks composed by Uematsu Nobue. This OST also contains a fair number of tracks performed by his rock band, The Black Mages which you'll definitely like if you enjoyed their debut album (ironically named) "The Black Mages" that was a remix of FFVII tunes. My favourites would have to be the sinister sounding "Black Water", siegeful "Battle in the Forgotten City" and the rule breaking "Violator". The remixes of "One Winged Angel" and "Jenova" are good too, different from the earlier remix versions that were in The Black Mages album. I really like the short, quick pauses in "Black Water" when you can only hear one singled out instrument. It sounds like it's representing the footsteps of someone powerful. One moment you hear the drums and the bass guitar playing together like the someone's moving their feet forward. The next you only hear the singled out sound as if they're placing their feet on the ground. Perfect for the scene the track is used for in the movie. Although most of the songs are rock, there is a good mix of others too including familiar piano scores of "Aerith's Theme" and "Tifa's Theme". Of course, they can't miss out the orchestral Final Fantasy theme song that's in almost every game. I thought it was very clever of how they decided to use a piano version of "Those who Fight" during Tifa's fight scene as the instrument brings out the feminine elegance while the fast paced score conveys strength at the same time. Then there is Kyosuke Himuro's "Calling", a rock song with lyrics that suits Cloud's image well. Overall, this is a must have if you want to enjoy the movie's music in its full glory, with no sound effects to muffle out the instruments.

The Best Final Fantasy OST Yet! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Final Fantasy Advent Children has an amazing OST! With a new feel not quite like any Final Fantasy soundtrack before it, this compliation features electric guitar, hardcore beats, violin, piano, harp, and most any instrument you can think of. Track such as "Black Water", and "Fight on Highway" are great, and really give you a feel for the movie. They really make you want to move. If you liked the OST's for both Final Fantasy X & X-2 I would definatley recommend this one!

This is a great album! If you havent watched the movie then i suggest you do so now. But this soundtrack is great even if you havent watched it. The great Nobuo Uematsu[who will be retiring sadly] has done a magnificant job once again.

the majority of songs on the cd are great !! My favourite is the rock and roll one and " CALLING ".

Omg, this soundtrack is a must buy !!

Awesome Sound track! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
How can I say? This soundtrack is awesome!
Even if you didn't see the movie, you will like it. For who saw the movie, will remember each scene listening this album. Each music, matching in harmony with the scene. For people who played the game FFVII, will hear the amazing high-quality arrange of original tracks (like J-E-N-O-V-A and Sephiroth music). From piano to rock'n'roll, it has all variety of styles!
Of course, the Staff Roll has the classic music of any Final Fantasy ending (I'm sure fans of FF know that ^^)
The last J-pop music CALLING by Kyosuke Himuro is great too.

YOU SHOULD NOT MISS IT!

Thank you SQUARE ENIX and SMILE PLEASE Co.Ltd.(NOBUO UEMATSU corp.) for this SUPER PRODUCTION!

Wonderful Soundtrack to a wonderful Movie Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I haven't yet received the soundtrack, but watching the movie alone tells me how wonderful hearing these songs in CD-quality will be. I love the new and re-composed music used, from beginning to end. The ending song, Calling, was done by Kyosuke Himuro. A popular Japanese singer who was originally in BOØWY. These are a must-buy for a fan of the movie, and anyone a fan of the game's OST.

nothing noteable Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
the movie was great, awesome, totally worth months of wait... the soundtrack, not so much. a lot of it sounds like psuedo rock; however i do admit that few has a good beat to it. the best tracks are #s 2-7, 11, 15, 18, 21, and 23. though the other songs aren't noteable to me, the ones listed above are just awsome and worth the price. buy it for the good tracks.
