Well...okay.

The tracks "Automatic" and "First Love" are amazing. However, I felt that the rest of the songs were a bit boring, though not bad. They are all different from each other, but they aren't very exciting, and I have to skip a couple tracks, too. I have the CD and I listen to it, but if someone was to ask me "What do you think about the track, 'Movin' On Without You'?", I wouln't be able to answer because I wouldn't remember what the song sounds like, and with me that means that the song wasn't good enough to take a place in my memory. A lot of songs in the album are like that. I mainly bought the CD for "First Love". Again, the album isn't bad, but I would not give Utada past three stars. She has loads of talent, but in this album I felt she didn't express it. Her other albums are much better. I suggest her "Deep River" album. |

Far from perfect
| I must honestly say that I don't think that the album as a whole is that good. Some songs are catchy like "Time will tell", "Movin' on without you" and "B&C". "First Love" is beautiful, until the end, where Utada's voice barely survives hitting a high tone. The melody is gorgeous, so it's a shame that her voice can't pull it off. Some of the album tracks were really boring and could have been a lot better. "Give me a reason" sounds nice, it sounds a little sad, but it just repeats on and on with the same thing. It sounds like the person making the song just couldn't make up ANYTHING to make the song more interesting. The interlude was boring. This album could be a lot better, the album tracks feels rushed and not completed. |

Theme song for Majo no Jouken
Theme song for Majo no Jouken
| "First Love" sang by Utada Hikaru is the theme song for the Japanese tv drama "Majo no Jouken" which stars Takizawa Hideaki (aka Tackey) and Matsushima Nanako. About a 25-year old female high school math teacher, named Michi who falls in love with her 17-year old high school student, named Hikaru. This song is very beautiful and Utada does a great job singing it. She sings with passion. Every time I listen to this song, it makes me want to cry. Every time I hear this song, I think about the struggle that Michi and Hikaru has to endure to protect their love for each other. |

Amazing.
| FIRST LOVE was the first album of Utada that I bought. And I have to say, THIS IS HIKKI'S BEST ALBUM YET. This album is amazing, amazing, amAZING. It should be worth a LOT more, with its content, therefore you should buy it now. First Love, her single, is one of the best songs I've listened to in a very long time. I actually like her entire album, and thats rare. Its not common to come upon such a good album, and I strongly recommend it. FIRST LOVE made me buy another album of Utada's :P |
