One punk song saves the world in the delightful rock opus Fish Story from director Nakamura Yoshihiro (The Glorious Team Batista). Based on Isaka Kotaro's novel, this topsy-turvy charmer spans multiple time periods, connecting people and threads in unexpected and enjoyable manners to a rousing laugh-out-loud conclusion. Featuring music by Saito Kazuyoshi, the ambitious temporal tale brings together an ensemble cast that includes Ito Atsushi (TV drama Train Man), Kora Kengo (Snakes and Earrings), Hamada Gaku (The Foreign Duck, The Native Duck and God in a Coin Locker), Omori Nao (Vibrator), Tabe Mikako (Monkey Magic), and Moriyama Mirai (One Million Yen Girl).

It's the year 2012, and a meteorite is on a world-ending crash course with earth. In the desolate streets, one record shop remains open for business. Inside, the store owner (Omori Nao) pulls out a record of Gekirin's "Fish Story", and tells his few patrons about the trailblazing pre-Sex Pistols punk band. Back in 1975, there was a failed band that made one last record. Unbeknownst to everyone, this song that no one remembers would affect the lives of many people, and indeed the fate of the world itself.

[ストーリー]
１９７５年　早すぎたパンクバンド「逆麟」は世間に理解されないまま解散へ向かおうとしていた。彼らは最後のレコーディングで「ＦＩＳＨ　ＳＴＯＲＹ」という曲を演奏する。／１９８２年　気の弱い大学生は「ＦＩＳＨ　ＳＴＯＲＹ」の間奏部分に「女性の悲鳴が聞こえる」という噂を聞く。さらには出会った女性に「いつか世界を救う」と予告され…／２００９年　修学旅行中に眠り込んでフェリーに取り残された女子高生は「正義の味方になりたかった」コックと出会う。その直後、二人はシージャックに巻き込まれる／２０１２年　街が静まり返るなか、営業中のレコード屋の店長は「地球が滅亡する日でも好きなレコードを聴いていたい」と、「ＦＩＳＨ　ＳＴＯＲＹ」に耳を傾けている。

[解説]
「ＦＩＳＨ　ＳＴＯＲＹ」という曲の間奏には、なぜ１分間の無音部分があるのか？果たして２０１２年地球は滅亡してしまうのか？時空を越えてすべてがつながった時、想像を超える爽快なラストがやってくる！！
