此為導演鮑學禮及編劇倪匡於1974年合作的民初動作片。辛亥革命成功後，正義都督蔡松坡（凌雲）被袁世凱軟禁，蔡為避免迫害，佯作詩酒風流，整日與名妓小鳳仙（何莉莉）泡在一起。蔡旗下副官沈士賢（韋弘）來妓院欲見蔡，不期遇上精於武技的花花公子武文淵（陳觀泰），由打而結識，並共商營救蔡出城之策；蔡密示沈，應待一切準備就緒後方可見面，以免打草驚蛇；惟他們的行蹤已為袁世凱之偵緝處長（谷峰）所知……

The team of real-life kung-fu champion Chen Kuan-tai and director Pao Hsueh-li was a productive one, resulting in such classic hits as The Boxer From Shantung, Man Of Iron and Iron Bodyguard. This powerful saga is one of their last together, as well as one of their most sweeping. It tells of the battle between a usurper of the throne and the patriots, led by Chen, who backs a Yunnan Governor just after the revolution.

Lily Ho's final movie Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
In 1974, Lily Ho retired from showbiz after shooting this movie. She looks really beautiful in it but her role as a courtesan is a small one. In fact Lily Ho and Ling Yun are really only guest stars in this exciting movie. Since I bought the DVD for them, I was disappointed with their small roles but the movie is exciting with Chen Kuan Tai, Frankie Wei Hung & Wang Chung shining in their respective roles. The fight choreography is very impressive for 1974.
