It's only this year (2006) that I discovered Fong Fei Fei held her 35th Anniversary Concert in Taipei in year 2004. Although I stumbled upon this 2 years late, I have no regrets. I ran and searched for this concert cd here in Singapore and only 2 store has it. This is a great collectors dvd & cd! In years to come, I believe Fong Fei Fei's music will become even more precious, especially since she doesn't hold a concert every year. What makes this particular concert very special is that Fong Fei Fei's vocal is pitch perfect, her showmanship is beyond the lightings and props... she is the DIVA of chinese music (in my opinion). Given her long absence in the industry, I was utterly floored when I listened to her. She got my entire family listening to her over and over and over again. Listening to those beautiful melodies and lyrics transported me back to the past and allows me to re-appreciate the great vocal powess of fong Fei Fei's. Not only that, she made an excellent choice by being the concert's music director herself. I am so proud of her! This CD / DVD is NOT to be missed. Don't wait till it's too late. Grab your copy now. May seem pricey until you listen and you'll probably want to buy more copies to keep for your next generation. Love it, love it, love it. |

warm and mellow
| definitely worth collecting. it was the great trio - qiong yao, lin chin hsia and fong fei fei which garantees the ticket box office once upon a time. a good story line, an extraordinary aura and beauty of a girl and the most feminine voice in the background. they did it. and now her voice has mellowed and enriched .... get also the other similar concert performance of hers in video/mtv and see what a star is altogether! |

Simple tunes, poetic lyrics: Grace and Beauty Pers
| It is this 2-CD set which amazed me that Fong Fei-Fei still has got what it takes to honour the ardent fanship she earned way back in the 70s and 80s. Right after listening to this 2-CD set in Feb 04, I secretly wished that she would bring to her fans in Singapore the good fortune of seeing her live in concert. And she did! Whether on this CD-set or performing live at the Indoor Stadium, her vocals were immaculately flawless; her diction was chirpy clear and the contemporary arrangements of all of her classics brought fresh breath of life to the delightful tunes. What she delivered was beyond her great vocals to remind us the beauty of those enduring simple tunes and poetic lyrics. This performance captured what Fong Fei-fei personified in her 35-year career - beauty and grace. |

still a voice after all these years!!!
| fong fei fei still does not dissapoint.with her clear crisp voice and the melodious songs I wonder why it still so difficult for recording companies to release her oldies in series of albums.She is one singer standing up there with the likes of Fei Yu Ching. |
