「フォエバー・フレンズ」のベット・ミドラーを迎えて描く、軍隊慰問歌手ディクシー・レオナルドの半生のドラマ。グラミー賞受賞歌手のミドラーが、エネルギッシュかつ庶民的に戦地でのステージ活動を演じる。監督は「ローズ」「黄昏」の名匠マーク・ライデル。
