Similar to the late 90s hit Untraceable Evidence, TVB's popular 2006 crime drama Forensic Heroes is set in the exciting world of police forensics. Ratings guarantee Bobby Au-Yeung leads the cast of forensics experts and police officers that tackle different cases, some of which hit too close to home. Playing a tough senior inspector, Yoyo Mung makes a formidable professional and romantic match for Bobby's forensics expert. Frankie Lam co-stars as a forensics doctor who moonlights as the writer of a popular suspense novel series, and one of the drama's threads involve his fictional murder cases coming true in real life. The cast also includes Linda Chung as Frankie Lam's girlfriend, as well as Astrid Chan, Chris Lai, Raymond Cho, Florence Kwok, and Jay Lau. Forensic Heroes was a huge hit when it aired in Hong Kong, and even spawned a second season in 2008.

Cool, calm, and collected, forensics expert Timothy Ko (Bobby Au Yeung) is a pro in crime scene investigation and evidence analysis. He has assisted the police in solving numerous cases, but he himself becomes the prime suspect when his terminally ill wife (Jay Lau) is poisoned to death. Headstrong detective Siu Yau (Yoyo Mung) is convinced Tim's the killer, and even his brother-in-law, forensics doctor Sam (Frankie Lam), begins to doubt his innocence. Tim can only trust that forensics will reveal the truth.

Senior chemist of the Forensic Science Division KO YIN-POK (AU YEUNG CHUN WAH, BOBBY) is a rational and level-headed type with remarkable powers of observation. Through the examination of physical traces like a small strand of hair or tiny fibers from clothing, he can help the police crack even the toughest cases. What is ironic is that his brother-in-law, KOO CHAK-SUM (LAM MAN LUG, FRANKIE), who is a forensic pathologist, and senior inspector LEUNG SIU-YAU (MUNG KA WAI, Yoyo) have both come to suspect him of poisoning his wife.

With his profound forensic knowledge, POK finally manages to prove his innocence. POK, SUM and YAU - the iron triangle of the Forensic Science Division, the Forensic Pathology Service and the Hong Kong police - continue to work in close collaboration with one another, as they always did. But all is not well when strange happenings begin to occur. It appears to the trio that the more cases they solve, the more mysteries confront thme. Things have become far too complex. It seems that someone is plotting against POK and even trying to do away with him.....
