loved it!

i really loved this drama :) its a very sweet love story between two people who just want to be together despite their differences in culture. i originally stumbled upon this short drama on accident when i was looking for a won bin movie and i ended up loving it!! i bought it but if you need/want subtitles, you'll have to go through a different site. i recommend this movie for all those romantics :) |

their masterpiece !!
| i love to watch japanese movie since i was 13 years old and i love kyoko so much,she can sing and act so well..i mean she always playing in front-screen with good acting,good looks and no wonder she is so popular among teens coz she is just good..more than everythings..i watch friends for i think about 8 times already..coz it so good and although the story was short,but the story-board is very very nice and i love to see both of kyoko and woo bin together..they are good together...everytimes i see of this movie i will finish it in one day..and what can i say about it? and i won't forget the story coz it really touching and keep deep in my heart..hope you guys like it... |

| Good mini series but look elsewhere if you want/need english subtitles. Also on this release there is a buzz from the right channel throught each episode when the volume peaks. Pretty lousy quality. |

"Friends" is a very beautiful short drama (a TBS and MBC collaboration) about two people who fall in love with each other and face conflicts due to their cultural differences. Fukada Kyoko plays a Japanese department store sales girl, who goes to Hong Kong for vacation. Won Bin plays a South Korean film student who goes to Hong Kong to film a short documentary film. Someone takes Fukada's purse and she thinks Won Bin is the one who took it. She chases after him, but later to find out that she made a mistake. She is left with nothing and does not know how to get back to her hotel. He takes her to his aunt's Korean restaurant and treats her to a meal. During this meal, they discover they have the same name (same Chinese character in their names). Later, he asks her to be in his film and she agrees. They continue to meet for the next couple of days. Even though they cannot understand each other very much, they have developed a close bond. They exchange emails. Fukada goes back to Japan and Won Bin goes back to South Korea. She emails to him in Japanese, his friend translates for him. His friend helps him to email her back in Japanese. Later she finds out that he does not know Japanese. She decides to learn Korean, because she wants to (that's the power of love) and because she wants him to write the emails himself. Later they face problems in their relationship due to their cultural differences. But their love for each other is so strong that they learn, accept and adapt to each others cultural differences. This is one of the best shows about people who come from different backgrounds and overcoming those differences because they want to have a relationship. They learn about each other's cultures and develop a richer and fuller relationship. |

Though this serial is short with 4 episode...but it is more than enough to capture the hearts of so many international global fans. Personally i think Won Bin's skin condition look the best in all the serial he acted. Healthy and smooth complexion. He has a million dollar smile that can set u on fire!!! Many times in the show, I notice Kyoko Fukada has more lines to read and Won Bin has quite alot of facial expression to do....His eyes and smile really melts yr heart..The music of the show is also good and melodious and goes along very well with the show. It is one of the good serial without much tear jerking scenes but u will be so mesmerized by their love despite all the hardship, misunderstanding and hurdle they faced.. Fantastic production, highly recommended!!!! |

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
| Even though I didn't understand Japanese or Korean I bought this movie with the English Subtitle because I'm such a huge fan of Won Bin after seeing him in Endless Love. Won Bin and Fukada Kyoko's performance were amazing. The story line was great and the sceneries of Hong Kong, Japan and Seoul were breathe taking! These two great actor/actress broke through the language barriers and I hope to see more movies like this to follow. This movie is a must see for all you Won Bin and Fukada Kyoko fans out there and definitely for the romantics like me. If you aren't a fan of these two actor/actress then you will be after this movie. |

i love this movie!!!!
| I love this movie it shows a strong love relationship between two long distance lover. this movie really express how there is never an ending to love no matter what. plus i love the soundtrack in this movie . it made me watch it over ten times. |

gottah luv dis movie
| this is a great movie...it is really nice having both characters met in Hong Kong and then they couldn't be with each other because of different cultures. at the end it worked out fine. it's good for people from different races that wants to be with each other. there could be a chance for everyone. |
