Wow.. I didn't expect it to be this good!! I fell for her album completely!! I love her way of writing her lyrics and music!! She sings whatever she feels is coming across her mind, she has a special voice and she is a great artist!! maybe one of the best in Japan!!(At her age)...
I can listen to the album over and over again!! I wish I could see her live!!

Refreshing :3 Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I may be totally biased writing this review, because YUI is my favorite singer of all time, but I'll do my best.

The albums opening track 'Merry Go Round' works well, because it is catchy and upbeat. The lyrics describe YUI's insecurities, and it is probably my favorite new track.

My biggest complaint is simply that I found a small percent of the songs quite bland ('I Can't Say'), and the lack of some of YUI's really, really awesome b-sides.
Like I said before, my favorite new track was 'Merry Go Round' and my favorite singles were 'Feel My Soul' and 'Tomorrow's Way'.
On a whole, I enjoyed most of the album, and even the songs that I didn't like to begin with grew on me (i.e. 'Blue Wind'). 'FROM ME TO YOU' is a really refreshing debut, and as the title suggests, YUI's music is very personal.

Beautiful voice Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I took notice of Yui's music after hearing a couple of amazing theme songs from the Bleach anime series: namely 'Rolling Star' and 'Life'. Thereafter, I decided to check-out the rest of her music. This girl is simply talented at song writing and is gifted with a sweet, beautiful voice. Her music is so catchy, it has to be heard to believe.

I have to start with saying that YUI's voice is the most beautiful ever! I love every song on this album and that is not that usuall. You know how you buy CD's becuase you like one or maybe two songs and then you find out that the rest of the songs is just blaha blaha? Well, that you don't have to worry about if you decide to buy this CD, I can promise you that. Now you might think that the songs most sound very much alike if everyone is that great, don't you? That's not the case, you will find very diffrent songs on this album and YUI can handle them all with no problem. From "Merry Go Round" to "Spiral & Escape" That she write here own songs makes the CD better still.

Delightful debut!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
YUI's debut album is perfect~! I bought it after hearing a few singles, and I am very pleased - I can't stop listening to it. Her style is so much more than pop, and her vocals and lyrics really touch you in a most heartfelt way. I will be looking forward to more of her work in the future.

I bought this CD based on some reviews here of her singles which described Yui as almost a Japanese Michele Branch. And while I am FAR from dissapointed with this purchase based on that comparision, she reminds me more of a contemporary Japanese singer Ai Takaoka (although Yui's voice is a bit higher). I love the slight rock edge to her mostly acoustic songs...and I also love her versatile vocals. There is not one note on this CD that I would change in any way. It's absolutely perfect...and it has 13 full-length tracks to enjoy instead of a more usual 10 track release. I'd say if you enjoy a change from the mundane, give Yui a go. She's a fabulous singer and very earthy in style. If you like Nakanomori Band, Ai Takaoka or even Yunna...you really should invest in Yui. This is a masterpiece of song selection and amazing vocals. It's almost even hard for me to describe this release, because merely saying she is acoustic-style guitar rock doesn't do the other subtleties of her music justice. Just buy it and see for yourself...
