Before, I have listened to all cds produced by Ivana - a talented singer/songwriter of Hong Kong with a beautiful angelic voice, but this is the first DVD of her first live concert held at the Star Hall in September 2008. Believe me, once you turn it on, you will be attracted to watching it to the very last song contained in this DVD! Indeed, Ivana gives us absolutely stunning singing. But besides singing with crystal-clear voice, Ivana also plays with her voice singing in several songs, like the introductory in which she sings the entrance from Mars (火星前奏曲), Gloomy Sunday (Bjork's song), 開到荼靡(王菲Faye Wong's song), and 浮誇(陳奕信Eason Chan's song). Unforgettable also is her duet with 張敬軒 (Hins Cheung) "我 願意"-so sweet and touching! And her duet with Andy Hui is also very pleasing. Quite surprisingly, and extraordinary, is the appearance of her parents, Soprano Esther Fung (女高音馮志麗) and Tenor Wong Fan (男高音王帆) -- who are revealed as Ivana's music instructors, and they sing together with Ivana the most beautiful and touching duet "Amazing Grace" (奇異恩典)!!! It is absolutely marvellous to hear the wonderful blending of operatic voices with pop-singing voice! No wonder the applause from the audience is so overwhelming! If you ask me to pick the best songs from this DVD, I simply cannot, because each and every song is unique and sensational, appearing like the words of a dear friend singing to you by your side! Heart-warming and heart-melting throughout, indeed! And don't miss the lively talk show given by renowned DJ of Commercial Radio (2), Sammy Leung (森美)! It is so funny and entertaining! No wonder people call Sammy the Goldenlabel DJ ( 金牌司儀)!

November 19, 2006 A half-way singer!Janice grabbed a few music awards last year solely with the obstinate support from her boss Leon Lai, who exerts his influence everywhere in the show biz to boost this singer of his company. An experienced pub singer, Janice had a sweet smile and sexy outfit, and that's about it. Her voice is OK, at times sounds sweet in singing English songs. But the sad thing about her singing is that her Chinese diction is so poor that she had to use a lot of nasal tone to cover up her weakness, which makes the ear of listeners very uncomfortable! This weakness is particularly obvious when she sings live in TV shows or on stage! Her first album was quite welcomed because she re-sang Leon Lai's well-known songs. But in this new album she no longer gets the privilege of singing well-known tunes of Leon Lai, and so all songs sound mediocre. But then she still sounds better than her sister Jill!
