Very masterful Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

Besides my love for all of his music, I must really commend Gackt for the lyrics of Returner. I found them so touching and well thought out. Also, it was excellently composed and I find myself relistening to the backtrack trying to figure out the music organization (I play music ^^).

As for the other tracks, the live version of 'birdcage' is simply gorgeous, if not moreso than the album version. Overall, I love the artistic features of this single and the classic feel. Though 'birdcage' and 'cube' are past tracks, they truly feel new and reborn in this single. Though the overall concept is a little to goth for my taste, don't let it discourage you and give the song a spin.

This single is a masterpiece.

Let's be honest here Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10

The melody is seriously the same as Mind Forest. Gackt could have arranged the flute to play in a different tune to make the song more different from Mind Forest but he just didn't. Kind of lame but the song is still catchy. Watching him on TV here in Japan in his Returner outfit was just ridiculous. If you haven't seen it, look for it. It's histerical.

First-class masterpiece! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

After quite a long time, Returner, shocks me with a great song and vocal. This is what I've been waiting for, Gackt's first-class masterpiece! Good melody, vocal style & the music arrangement make Returner ~Yami No Shuen~ as an addictive and beautiful song. The PV is captivating and alive! It makes you feel the emotion/message of the song. I just love to see Gackt becomes samurai.The other 2 tracks, Cube and Birdcage ~live version~, are bonus. I must say that RETURNER~Yami No Shuen~ is definitely worth to buy.

Beautiful single Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

Returner is a beautiful song that definitely reminds me of Mindforest, but I think that is mostly because of the flute. I can definitely fall into this song when it is playing.

The two live versions of cube and Birdcage have some noticeable differences from the album versions. Including Gackt telling the audience something at the beginning of Birdcage.

The PV is dark, warlike and vaguely reminds me of the movie Legend.

And the single's artwork is gorgeous!!

I highly recommend this single to everyone.
