　米Logitechは、ニンテンドーゲームキューブ用ステアリングコントローラ「Speed Force」を、5月14日から米ロサンゼルスで開催される展示会「E3 2003 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2003)」に出展すると発表した。E3においては、任天堂の新作ゲーム「マリオカートGC (仮称)」や「F-ZERO GC (仮称)」を「Speed Force」で楽しめるという。

　公開された写真では、向かって左側に伝統の十字キーとZボタン、右側には任天堂のゲームキューブコントローラとほぼ同じ配置でボタンが配されている。また、ハンドルの裏側にシフトアップ/ダウン用のアナログパドルスイッチが用意されているが、「GT Force」よりも大きくなっており、より使い勝手が向上している印象だ。もちろんフォースフィードバック機構も搭載されている。

　日本での発売は夏の予定で、「F-ZERO GC (仮称)」などの発売をターゲットとしていると思われる。
