林喬與女兒妞妞到加拿大探望丈夫程夢雄，久別了三年的夫婦，非但沒有如膠似漆，反之卻因小事爭吵不休。林喬怒髮衝冠之下，帶著妞妞到機場，準備回國。可憐的妞妞，卻被快遞公司誤當成禮物，送到一位老婆婆麥琪的門口。

麥琪知道自己患了絕症，只有三個月的時間，於是她想盡辦法把妞妞送回林喬夫婦身邊。天色將晚，溫哥華的街道彌漫著濃濃的聖誕氣息。麥琪看著她那可愛的聖誕禮物 - 妞妞，安祥的閉上了雙眼……

Lam visits her husband Ching in Canada with their little daughter Niu for the Christmas holiday, but she decides to fly after a big fight with him. A language barrier forces Lam and Niu to be separated. Niu ends up at the doorsteps of of Granny Maggie, a terminal cancer patient with only 3 months to live. After hearing Niu's tale, Granny Maggie vows to try all means to reunite Niu with her estranged parents before Christmas.
