2005 saw the celebration of Zeta Gundam's 20th anniversary, and its popularity has only increased with time. As compared to Gundam 0079 first released in 1979, Zeta Gundam features updated animation and character designs and also some surprising new scenes. Directed by Tomino Yoshiyuki and with character designs from Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, both creators of Gundam 0079, the Zeta Gundam promises anime fans another fantastic experience. Anime masters, including Okawara Kunio, Nagano Mamoru, and Fujita Kazumi, take care of the robots' mechanical designs.

It has been seven years since the end of the One Year War, but the seeds of war are still planted deep within mankind. The Earth Federation has grown corrupt, and has organized an elite fighting force called "The Titans" to quell any opposition. But the Titans' cruelty grows to rival that of the Principality of Zeon.
