From Bandai and Cyberconnect2 comes .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth, the first in a series of three .hack video games for the PlayStation 2 console! Followed by Vol. 2: A Voice That Reminds Me of You and Vol. 3: At a Walking Pace, this initial chapter is longer than the four previous .hack games combined and takes place after the anime series .hack//Roots! As a result of a fire at the CC Corporation, the MMORPG known as "The World" was forcibly shut down. The CC Corporation managed to save some of the data and created a brand new edition of the game dubbed "The World R:2," the location in which .hack//G.U is set. .hack//G.U. Volume 1: Rebirth centers on eight players as they journey through two stages - reality and "The World R:2," as each appears to be linked to one of eight phases. The main hero of the game is Haseo, the PKK (Player Killer Killer) known infamously as the "Terror of Death," an ex-member of the defunct Twilight Brigade guild, who is searching for a PK (Player Killer) known as Tri-Edge, a player whose victims cannot return to "The World" after he eliminates them. It seems that things turned personal when Haseo's friend, Shino, was attacked six months ago by Tri-Edge! But wiill Haseo's quest succeed? The answer awaits in .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth!
