On form as per usual! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Once again the vocal wonder has delivered a performance of the highest quality only this time he has the musical talents to match. Absolutley the perfect pairing. The songs are very good though track 3 is not a favourite of mine, its not terrible but the style seems inappropriate compared to the rest. But all in all, this guy has the class and you will be delighted with your buy!

Interesting idea Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I like the idea that the CD was recorded "live" and I LOVE the idea of mixing western musical instruments with the traditional Chinese ones. In addition, Hacken Lee injected certain classical elements into the CD which was refreshing as well. As for his singing, great as usual. The first five songs are my favorite.

Excellent album! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Have gone through the album twice, and the more i listen to it, the more i like it. Looking through the 'Making of' section made me more appreciate of the efforts put in.

I have always been an admirer of live music, and especially so of Hacken's live vocals. This album is a groundbreaking production, combining great vocals with great music in a live environment.

Some may find the fusion of Western and Oriental music hard to accept, or that Hacken's singing stagant or that there isn't anything special with songs. To me, Hacken has shown effort in varying his musical style and with a open mind, this album is as great as it gets. There probably isn't any album that can match it at this moment.

I can feel the heart of this CD and everyone must Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This CD is surperb! I love it. I like the idea of combining Chinese and Western musical instruments. I also like almost all the songs in the CD....the mixture of the songs are great. It is a joyful experience to listen to the cd. Also, the dvd are excellent. I enjoyed A LOT to watch the live performance of all the musicians and hacken in producing this CD. They are all very very talented people. I would recommend this CD to everyone who truely love MUSIC.

Excellent Music Quality..... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"Hacken Lee Concert Hall" is a must own. The more I listen to this CD, the more I like about it. This CD has gone way beyond everyone's expectations. The vocal is so strong and the lyrics are so funny in some cases as well as an interesting combination of music instruments. I always believe Hacken is a good singer with a lot of talent. Support Hacken all the way!

I played this with a Proceed PDMT transport and a Chord DSP8000 via an AZ MC2 digital link. The sound and vision quality was very good indeed. Forget about those artificially bred boys, girls band and monkey dance. This is good quality music production that I can recommend. This DTS DVD cannot be fully appreciated with a simple DVD system. This may not be the best but it is something special for Hi-Fi enthusiast finally from HK.

 Live singing is great...BUT Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Hacken Lee's live singing is not a new thing. People have been talking about it for the past decade.

I think his music is always the same thing over and over again only with different lyrics. No matter what he sings, he sounds the same. I saw the DVD from start to finish. Yes its good. But its nothing new, there is no element of supprise in the music.

Also, I think his voice and the music are becomming more seperated. Ever since he began to use orchestral instrument in the music, his voice became so detached from the music, and its getting worse in this CD. If I want to hear the music, I would buy a musical CD. I don't need a full orchestra as a background if I am going to hear someone sing.

It is such a wonderful album! The idea is great!The orchestra is fantastic. Hacken's voice is beautiful and natural. You can feel the confidence in his voice. If you are a true music fan and enjoy outstanding performances. This is an album you will love to watch and play. All the songs are good, the musicians are excellent, the design of the box is very attractive too, the only complained is that all the makers and the musicians' name at the end are too small to read. Hacken, keep up the great job!

No doubt Hacken's voice is good, but the songs in this album is just ok, not that impressive. His singing style is also like his previous albums. I think some songs in this album doesn't fit in with chinese muscial instrument arrangements.

I've only listened to the album once and I'm itching to have it on again when I get home. This album is one amazing musical journey. The creativity is what seperates Hacken and other singers. And the great thing is, this album wasn't just about his voice, it was about the overall musical experience for the listener. The heavier band songs didn't quite do it for me, but this album does confirm to me that Hacken's got something! It does make me wonder what Hacken and his team will do to top this though!

This is an album where a musician will be proud to say "I was in that". Definitely a must-have.
