路上ライブで注目を集め、2005年にシングル「やさしい花」でデビューしたシンガー・ソングライター、奥華子。アニメ「時をかける少女」主題歌を担当するなど、優しい歌声で多くのファンの支持を集める、トレードマークの赤いメガネも印象に残るアーティストだ。また、東京電力「TEPCOひかり」CMソングを手がけた事でも知られている。
2008年12月6日には横浜BLITZにて初の1日2公演のコンサートを開催。昼の部では従来どおりのピアノ弾き語りを披露し、夜の部では初めてのバンド・スタイルでのライブを敢行した。本作には、夜の部として行われたバンド・スタイルでのライブ「はじめてバンドで歌います！」の模様を収録。おなじみの楽曲にバンド・スタイルならではのライブ・アレンジを加え、CDや普段のライブとは一味違った楽曲の魅力、そして奥華子の魅力を実感できる内容となっている。
