Malaysian singer Z.Chen Chang, known as the "Prince of R&B", forecasted his change of music style when he released his best selection Save Z.Chen last year. Happiness, his latest Mandarin album, now fulfills the promise. Z.Chen's music has become more accessible, and the British rock and British Pop elements, blended into his new songs, sound especially refreshing. Produced in Malaysia from start to finish, Happiness contains 10 tracks, plus a bonus VCD with the MV for "Happiness".

The title track "Happiness" incorporates segments from George Lam's classic "Need you every minute". This lighthearted track not only brings about happiness to fans, but also recalls precious memories of Hong Kong people who grew up listening to George Lam. Veteran singer and actress Chelsia Chan pens the rhythmic "Just One" and sings this song with Z.Chen. He performs Singaporean singer Kit Chan's best-known tune "Worries" in his unique voice, and sings the cover version of Shakin Stevens' "Because I Love You" which is now mixed with rap and hip-hop elements. Usually Z Chen does very good R&B Ballads but I would say this Album was ok but not his best. Anyway, if you are a true Z Chen Fan, then you would buy and collect every album of his. I give it a 8 out of 10.

i have this guy every album! and each CD has never disapointed me at all! this CD has the usual rnb slow jams. yet he has a beautiful voice to match! although i prefer his older albums! chi sing fans will also like this album.
a nice album to listen to!

Worth buying album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is Z Chen’s sixth album. Like his previous albums, it has never been disappointing.

“Happiness” (Kuai Le) is the only song composed by Z Chen in the album. He creatively uses this popular tune from Cantonese oldies “Needing You Every Minute” (Fun Fun Jong Sui Yew Nei) as a sample to create a new song. The tune is simple but nice and the lyrics are also meaningful. It talks about our happiness is in our hands and it’s decided by us.

Another radio hit “Just Once” is in a catchier tune and Z Chen sings it with his style naturally. “Let The Time Says” (Rang Shi Jian Kai Kou) is kind of a rock style which Z Chen seldom sings. “Because I Love You”, a cover of an English oldies shows Z Chen’s ability in singing English songs. And my favorite song from the album will be track 7 “Delay”, a moving number with equally touching lyrics.

Overall it is quite a quiet, soothing album. Compared to his last album, it lacks the variety in genre of songs, but it’s more intimate and pleasant listening. The songs are able to reach out and touch the hearts of listeners. It is actually quite suitable to listen to at night or in the car on your way home.

One thing that can be improved is the cover of the album. For me, it is too plain for an album cover. Same for the lyrics booklet. I was hoping for more words in the booklet. Overall, this album is worth buying.

I just got this CD today and love everybit of it Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
When i first listened to KUAI LE on radio, i was happy that there is a new song from him , but no particular special feeling.. but then when i listen to it on the cd, the feeling is totally different. His way of singing is still R&B and not much changes in style.. Will definitely please all his fans and everyone who likes simple . Simple but definitely good. Must buy this cd. too bad the cd insert booklet was a little simple and no comments by chee sing himself
