August 23, 2006 Jeon Ji Hyun worst performanceI am really big Jeon Ji Hyun fan which is why I bought the limited edition DVD. I'm not sure if the following comments are spoilers but i dont say much more than the professional review. so be warned.
I bought the DVD based on all the great customer reviews. Everyone says it a wonderful romance. Not! Its a tragedy! I knew Jeon Ji Hyun wasn't going to be like her character in my sassy girl. I thought it would be something closer to her performance in il mare. THis movie is tragedy that frustrates. The assassin character is a stalker that gets creepier through the movie. I amazed at Jeon Ji Hyun character's reaction to the assassin at the end of the movie and her undying love for the interpol guy. Dont waste your money on this DVD.Did you find this review helpful? Never impressed with american versions of asian films like "shall we dance". Anyway this movie definitely pulls at your heartstrings but does not dissappoint. The time difference thing is always a difficult and frustrating thing to try to comprehend. Just take it at face value and dont think about it. Jeon Ji Hyun is hot as usual. Still like her best in my sassy girl. VCD quality is as expected for VCD. I wanted to get the DVD but it was out at the time I wanted it. Looks like DVD is back in stock. March 16, 2006 a tale of 3 citiesI saw this movie at the Hawaii International Film Festival last year. Wonderful film about cross cultural relationships in 3 different cities (Tokyo, Tapei, Shanghai). I liked the tokyo story the best. I'm glad i didn't have to wait 3 years between these 2 movies like the audience in korea! just watch and enjoy them. dont try to compare or think too much about tying them together or you'll be like some of the negative reviewers on this site!
