Following the popular precedent of TVB's Healing Hands and ATV's Healing Hearts, the latest star-studded medical drama to grace Chinese televisions is the China-Hong Kong co-production Healing Souls. Acclaimed actor Francis Ng leads an ensemble cast that includes top TVB actress Jessica Suen, long-time-no-see television actor Jackie Lui, veteran Lau Siu Ming, and Mainland stars Huo Siyan (My Name is Fame) and Zhang Dangfeng. Shot in China and aired on ATV, Healing Souls follows the comings and goings of the staff at a hospital, from working pains to romances and rivalries to daily brushes with life and death. Among the challenges that fall on the staff are the death of the hospital director and an epidemic outbreak in the hospital.

Set in a hospital, the storylines of this medical drama revolve around the lives of its medical staff. Both Chin and Hung are famous surgeons, but their personality differences turn them into rivals.
