The Nintendo DS gets another innovative game with Hiite Utaeru DS Guitar "M-06"! This virtual guitar game lets players strum and sing along to pre-existing tracks. Players "pluck" the guitar strings on the touchscreen according to the instructions on the upper screen. The instructions tell the player the chords and lyrics (in Japanese). Chords are accessed via the directional pad, with one per diagonal direction, while the player provides their own hopefully adequate singing voice. Using one of the shoulder buttons, 8 more chords can be accessed for a total of 16 accessible chords at any given time. 120 chords are built into the game, and 38 songs are provided for regular gameplay. More advanced players can exercise their creativity and perform freestyle, assigning chords to the directional pad as they see fit. There's even a "record" feature that allows recording and playback of a player/musician's songs - including their singing, which is picked up via the DS's built-in microphone! With a variety of cool functions, Hiite Utaeru DS Guitar "M-06" is suitable for both novice and advanced guitarists, or just about anyone who's looking for a different gameplay experience.
