　　HOLIDAY IN SEOUL is made up of 2 stories that are loosely related to each other. In the first story, a bellboy falls in love with a fashion model who stay at the hotel with her boyfriend. In the second tale, an insommiac taxi driver finds love with a phone operator who is having an affair with a married man. HOLIDAY IN SEOUL is a tender sale about finding true love and escaping from loneliness in a modern city.

Disappointed With Subtitles Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
If you want to see English subtitles you have to watch the dubbed chinese language version. It is not the same to watch Jang Dong Gun & Choi Jin Shil and hear someone else's voice speaking in Chinese for them.

If you want to hear their voice you have to watch the movie without English subtitles. If I had known that I would not have bought this video.

Avoid this DVD Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
This is a great movie, and very worthy of being owned on DVD, just don't make the mistake I made in buying this "Tai Seng Video" version. The problem with this edition is that it only contains burnt-in subtitles. That is, you can't remove them or select them at will. Instead, you are limited to the option of either watching the original Korean version of the film in widescreen with burnt-in asian subtitles (no english!!), or if you want english subtitles being forced to watch a heavily cut version of the film in 4:3 format with abysmal picture quality. There is another version out there by "Universe Laser". Do yourself a favor and get that one!!

When i first saw it, it really did strike me as a normal film trying to be quirky and light, but it somehow came across as too light. Character wise, i think they portrayed themselves pretty well, especially jang dong gun. His expresions belied the turmoil he was experiencing and the mundane routine he goes through in life is something everyone of us can relate too. Acting wise, awesome!

What so special? Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I am a little disappointed after watching this movie.. It doesn't tell much in this movie and the plot i think is not very good though. Also i think that it shouldn't be rated 18 above only coz it has nothing much very violent or sex activity. I think the section which show where the repair man peep under the desk is not very special though! Even Malaysian board of cencor's rate it for General Viewing!! Anyway this movie is not too worth paying for!

This movie kind of reminded me of Chung King Express, Artsy, well put together, interesting and off beat stories about people's lives. I thought this movie had some very original stories and it leaves you with a good feeling.
