The follow-up to Poetics: Something Between Montparnasse and Mongkok (2009), My Little Airport's fifth new album Hong Kong is One Big Shopping Mall is reportedly inspired by the documentary series Zeitgeist, which takes a critical look at the impact of the global economic system. This time, the Hong Kong indie pop unit wants to sing about the little stories of the insignificant people in this "big shopping mall". Songs include "I Come Here to Perform for the Two Thousand Dollars" (Track 4), "Pigs in the City are Disappearing One by One" (Track 5), "The Company Laid off 300 People" (Track 11), "The Song of Sisyphus" (Track 13), and "To the People Inside the Admiralty MTR Train" (Track 14).
