Thanks to Yesasia!I've got my first limited edition of NewS cd!I was awesome!I've bought 2 of them,one for me and one for my bestfriend on her birthday.We are very very happy and watching it together about 4 times!!!wowww -- I LOVE NEWS !! .. and yesasia was so great,my goods come in perfect condition and really fast shipping!I've got them in a week without express shipping! NEWS = Love Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I was so pleased to find the limited edition still available, this CD + DVD is full of love. Hoshi wo Mezashite is a lovely song and the PV that accompanies it is amazingly cute and full of member love. The highlight of buying this single was definitely the additional DVD. A definite must have, even for those unable to understand Japanese, there are many scenes which you can still enjoy. :D

Overall I thought this single was pretty good. The title song is catchy, and I was quite impressed with how they changed their styles for Boom!Boom!Power and Akai Hana - it's certainly a bit different from their old songs.

The DVD that comes with this single is probably the main highlight, featuring 3 performances from their spring concert '06 - they all gave great, energetic live performances - very enjoyable to watch. It also features a clip from the filming of the photojacket - I guess the only thing is that I wish it had some kind of subtitle, so that I could understand what they were saying. I was also slightly disappointed with the cd booklet that came with the single, as I was expecting more photos and more uniqueness in the booklet design/layout....

Overall, I would recommend this product to any News fan.

Firstly, welcome back to the entertainment world NEWS! Please continue to work hard so you can also re-debut soon Kusano and Uchi! And on to the review...

CD:
Hoshi wo Mezashite - Theme song for Tegoshi's Happy Feet! A very sweet song...meaning very sugar pop. Everyone gets to sing solo's (well, Koyama and Shige get a duet) but as usual Tegoshi and Masuda prove to be the best vocalist providing a solid performance. In terms of music progress, sadly nothing overly memorable about this song...until you listen carefully to the lyrics.

Boom! Boom! POWER - A very strange space-y sounding song, but moving more towards rock then the previous song's sugar pop. Shige proves that he can sing to this type of music by giving a very strong opening to the song. Other then that, a very upbeat song.

Akai Hana - Kind of soft-core techno. Everyone get's solos and again very upbeat. Sadly no one really stood out in terms of vocal ability. I'm pretty sure this song has never been heard before which is a nice treat since Hoshi wo Mezashite and Boom! Boom! POWER were both herd in low quality on the internet before the release of this single.

DVD:
This is really where you money is going. The 30 minute DVD features three songs from the SENDAI Spring Concert 2006 before NEWS' hiatus. The songs they performed are: Yume no Kazu Dake Ai ga Umareru (acapella), Hadashi no Cinderella Boy and Sayaendo. I would have to say that this was their best live performance, ever. The guys actually sang their solos live and I was really impressed. The concert was really upbeat and worth every cent.

The DVD also includes the filming of the CD Jacket shooting. Really awesome because you can see all the member love and the guys goofing off. They also provide commentary about their thoughts about the re-debut and the new single.

Really a fantastic buy.

NEWS is officially back!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Everyone were waiing for this day!! It has finally come!! 6-nin NEWS is here!! Poor Uchi and Kusano. ;__;

Hoshi wo Mezashite - This song is very good. ^-^ I didn't like it at first since I don't really like these types of songs, but I eventually got used to it and I love it!! :D

Boom! Boom! POWER - I REALLY love this song!! It's tied up with "Akai Hana". Shige has a strong rock-ishy voice that was PERFECT for this song!!

Best Friend - Not one of my favourites but still good! ^-^

Akai Hana - NOW I LOVE THIS SONG! \( ^o^)/\(^o^ )/ It's techno-ishy and very funky. I really like it and no words from me could describe this song!

This limited edition also comes with a DVD showing three encore songs from their NEWS 2006 concert and bonus things. It also comes with a 12 page booklet! So please support NEWS and buy their new single! \(^o^)/

Great New Start Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
First of all, I would like to say "Omedetou NEWS" for your awesome comeback. We were all waiting for this day ^^

Now, onto the review. In general.. the first thing you're going to think is "Wow! This is quite different." But when you give the songs a few listens, they still have that uplifting feeling that NEWS gives off. Also, it's much less biased to YamaPi. Which makes me very happy!

Hoshi wo Mezashite - A very pretty song. Everyone gets a solo part, which is great. For those of you who understand Japanese, the lyrics perfectly desribe NEWS's situation.

Boom! Boom! POWER - Woah! Much different than NEWS's old stuff. But I have to say I love it for a very good reason: Shige has the main part in this song. Yes, Shige has the MAIN part. Amazing.

Best Friend - Not an extremely striking song, but very very cute! Again, everyone gets a solo, and Tegoshi Yuya's vocal at the very beginning is heavenly ^^

Akai Hana - I'm STILL not quite used to this song. But it is a very cool song, no doubt! Solos for everyone!!
