Hotaru Amami is a female investigator who has wisdom of law and a beautiful figure. Don't get swindled Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"Hotaru the Hyper Swindler, Vol. 3" is brought to you by the same folks who made the "Play Angels" movies. While "Play Angels" entertains by dishing up comic bookish action, downplaying the softcore raunch, and generally not taking itself too seriously, "Hotaru Vol. 3" wants to be a gritty detective story loaded with steamy sex. Unfortunately, in order for a gritty detective story to work, it must generate edge-of-the-seat tension and provide a real sense of danger. The flaccid script and amateurish acting kills any chance of that happening. Given the tedium of the story, the moviemakers fall back on gratuitous, overlong sex scenes -- which simply further saps any interest that the plot might yield. "Hotaru" is a dud.
